Fiann Redd (b. 1992) is a Danish-American artist working across painting, sound, and film.
Self-taught, his practice centers on direct, material engagement with image-making, often using found materials and supports such as glass, paper, and fabric. Much of his work is developed outdoors, frequently in remote environments where weather, landscape, and chance become active elements in the process.
Working between Denmark, France, and the United States, he moves between figuration and abstraction, where figures, forms, and landscapes emerge, dissolve, and reconfigure through instinctive gesture and repetition.
Rooted in a sustained engagement with art history while resisting fixed narratives, Redd's work explores tension, distortion, and ambiguity. His paintings function as both autonomous objects and fragments of a larger body of work that continues to evolve.
